This is for 8.0, but it should work for later versions. If the os has another version of sax just type that.

Making a mount point & mounting your drive/partition through it in the GUI. (Graphical user interface)
A mount point is just a folder in the /mnt directory, so just right click in your GUI select click new, then folder, & you have a mount point. Then in your system control center (not the control center for your windowsmanager) the partition config tool should have a option to point a drive/partition to the mount point.

A few CLI (command line interface) commands you should know.
This way you can open the konsole/shell (the icon looks like a monitor/tv with a black screen) & switch to root without having to log out, then back in as root.
ls=list (list directory)
pico is a text editor that comes with linux (think every distro has it install by default) so to edit a text file just type pico filename. If you have a different text editor you want to use & it is installed just type the name of it then the filename.
